Dr. Anthony Blisko specializes in chiropractic biophysics and trigger point therapeutic massage, for sports injuries and athletes, automotive accident victims, work-related injuries and the promotion of better health for adults and children.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are particular areas in the human body where energy can become obstructed, creating neuromuscular problems and pain. Trigger point therapy was discovered in the 1950's by Janet Truvell, M.D, who found that the same areas in the body that responded to acupressure and acupuncture could be utilized in trigger point massage to relieve muscle pain and aid greatly in chiropractic treatment.

Trigger points are essentially knots in muscles, tendons or ligaments. These "knots" form in tissues which have been overused or injured due to an accident or surgery. They can cause increased muscle tension, muscle shortening, pain, nausea, ear ache, equilibrium disturbance, and blurred vision. Trigger point therapy is most effectively applied by chiropractors because of our detailed knowledge of muscle and nervous systems. Trigger point therapy is especially helpful for auto accident patients and in treating sports injuries.

Dr. Blisko is one of the seven certified Biophysics physicians in the state of New York and the only one within the city of Kingston.

We accept most forms of insurance. Please note that Chiropractic, Massage and Physiotherapy coverage differs between varied providers. We will gladly call your insurance provider for you when you come in for your first visit. We will let you know exactly what services are covered based onthe doctor's review of findings, doctor's best recommendations and treatment. Before you begin a care program with us, we will review our fees for services with you and happily answer all questions to eliminate any surprises. We accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCards.

Insurance and injury claims
Our insurance billing specialist is trained to quickly and accurately verify your insurance benefits for care. Personal Injury and Workers Compensation cases are billed directly to the appropriate insurance parties. Medicare clients are also welcome.
